Agribusiness company Robina Agri Partners once again showed its support for sustainable practices in the agricultural and aquacultural industries by joining one of the biggest expos in the country.

The Vis-Min Agri-Aqua Expo 2011 was an event that aims to, “create sustainable income opportunities in the field of agri-business to the growing public.” Held at two separate locations in Visayas and Mindanao, the first leg was at the Central Bank Exhibit Hall in Davao City on August 11-13. It’s the first expo of its kind held in the region. Meanwhile, Cebu had its 3rd Vis-Min Agri-Aqua Expo Cebu at SM Trade Halls, SM City Cebu last November 11-13.

Notable speakers from the Department of Agriculture (DA) were invited to the events. They conducted seminars that focused on encouraging farmers and fishermen to adapt appropriate technologies that would, “increase and sustain productivity,” for greater income. Aside from that, the technologies are aimed to help provide more effective and efficient connections between farmers/producers and buyers/users/

The event also featured some of the latest technologies and information that would help increase profitability in the agriculture, food and aquaculture industries. Supporting the expos were the DA, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Philippine Veterinary Medical Association, Livestock Development Council, and the Fertilizers and Pesticide Authority.
